My old TR6, it was on triple twin choke webers and scared me in the wet.boxedin

My present day TR4 modified to be more TR4a like. I have a grille to convert it back but I actually quite like its TR5 grille it is currently wearing.

The differences must be quite subtle, what are they?

What size front ARB are you running there? I just had a 1” fitted (I already have an ARB at the back) and I think it’s made the car a bit too twitchy to be relaxing.

TR4 grille. Holes for sidelights and more vertical bars, not very deep profile.

TR4a grille. Sidelights now on wings, more slatted appearance. Deeper profile. Hoops over headlamps.

TR5 grille. Deeper slats and no starting handle cutout.. More venetian blind type slats.

All above to be best of my knowledge, which is probably wrong!

Big fan of the TR5 and TR6, though never had one. They epitomise the golden era of the British sports car for me. Some lovely examples here.
