Agree entirely. I mentioned above somewhere that the chases we have all mentioned have (mostly) been 'real' chases - not CGI ones that just ruin it.

Oh oh oh, Bad Boys 2. A bit of CGI but nevertheless a good car chase!

What one? The mortuary van one was cracking as was the final one on the hillside. I'd love to know how many H2's and Defenders that wrote off!

Ah I was thinking of the 575 vs car transporter, but the van one was also pretty good!

Bourne Identity - or is it the Supremacy?? anyways its great! - very realistic as there aren't many explosions etc etc.. Also Ronin although they use an M5 which cant get away from a 406 and it has different wheels on it in parts...

French Connection made number 3. Interesting story from the guys who did it. The termintor was 2nd and Bullitt 1st. Interview with Chad McQueen sitting next to a `stang. One of my favourites, though, was a leopard chasing a warthog. It ended with 3 warthogs chasing the leopard, and giving it a right hiding!

Now that was a proper destructive chase! "woooooooo! that one puckered up my butthole a lil bit"

Wasnt the M5 in ronin at a severe disadvantage though? Was being piloted by a chick.

another vote for the Bad Boys 2 chase scenes. was heavily CGI'd but i loved the sound of that Ferrari 550/575 across the bridge

and i enjoyed the chase scenes in Swordfish with John Travolta shooting those trucks in the Tuscan!

I dont really rate the chase in Bullitt that highly. I know its legendary, just dont think that much of it.

It's the drama, the sound of that Ponys cherry bombs, the overrun induction roar, the throttle blips, the realisation that McQueen was doing it and digging it, the lack of speeded up film, the fact it was for real, the sublime and cool setting, the menace of the bad guys, the very cool and minimalist sound track that so suited the film.

Smokey and who?

Yes, fantastic.

Anyone know what the score is on the third part of the trilogy?

Also in the bourne Ultimatium (sp) Matt Damon wanted to change the book to kill the character off, not sure if they are going to submit to his demands tho.

Is the second one worth getting? I've heard it doesn't match up to the first one?
