Haven't played Badminton since I moved from Cambs 2 years ago Got reminded of this last night when a chum rang me up to say he'd popped into my old club to say hi and play a few matches.

Anyone play in Swindon? I've tried finding a few clubs but they play Sunday evenings!! Sorry, I'm not that devoted.... Just want somewhere I can play a few mixed doubles etc.

Have got a couple of graphite Carltons - can't actually remember models - it has been that long ops: I like the lightness, but then being a girlie it does make a lot of difference to me.

My son's physio tells me that a common injury in men in my demographic (late 30's, horribly unfit, slightly overweight) is to take up badminton again, go for a back court return by stepping back, and overextend the calf muscle and tear the muscle, ligaments or tendon (I forget which). It's very serious apparantly. eek

This puts me off taking up badminton again somewhat.

Well, that and being a lazy bastard, of course. hehe
