The box had 30 in it. Did a wrongun when I doubled up on the dose. Now my mouth feels like it has been carpeted and my breath has stripped all the paint off the office walls.

Bit of caffeine might help.

Oh and go to the chemist and get some Lactulose or Senna or indeed both - you'll need it.

Start worrying when 6 don't have much effect!!! 30 proper 30mg is easily enough to get tolerance and dependence in some individuals... especially if you take the piss with double / triple doses etc. You'll know when, because it stops working and you need more. My non-medical advice is to avoid getting into this situation in the first place

Thank you Dr Face. I've never been a fan of pain killers, but this toothache was severious (yes, a hybrid of severe and serious).

Dihydrocodeine is an opiate of methadone which is why if you go and talk to Frank the link links directly to methadone. It is effective in killing pain of all kinds but will most probably leave you feeling smacked off your tits. It's also the reason that Paramol really is the strongest over the counter painkiller and actually works.

Once you get up to the opiod and opiate pain killers, they are all Morphine Analogues. The scale goes, and this is aproximate, Codeine Phosphate, Dihydrocodeine Tartrate, Morphine Sulphate, Oxycodone Hydrochloride, Diamorphine (Heroin was the trade name!!), Hydromorphone Hydrochloride. There other such as fentenyl the Diclofenates which are similar in potency to Morphine etc. However everyone reacts differently and some work better for some people than others.
