I did enjoy bits of Walkabout at school. Not quite sure why we were watching it in an English lesson.
It was on the local education authority reading list in the early 80s at least so you night have been reading the book as well - we watched the film while we were studying the book in the 3rd form. This was the very definition of embarassment.
