The nature of my work means I have R2 on all day, which can be both good and bad. One of the low points is Steve Wright, I just think he's a to$$er.

Recently though Mark Radcliffe has been doing it and he is a properly funny bloke, as license payers we should be able to vote people off I reckon; Radcliffe would get mine for this slot!

Does anyone else share this veiw....??

ps...I would also happily "end" Moyles, the fat, unfunny eejit.

I've given up with R2 now - Through the day I can only listen to TW - I'm starting to Ken Bruce a little tiring and from Jeremy Vine onwards it's dreadful, especially with drive time and the waste of carbon Evans, he just makes my teeth itch.

There was a huge amount debate on the radio 2 forums when it was announced that CE would take over from Johnny Walker - the vast majority anti CE, even the director got involved and issued a statement over it, thousands complained but it made no difference - unfortunately the controller was proven right when she said listeners would increase as they did which to my mind is another sad reflection on today's society.

Now spend the morning without radio but on occasion will put virgin on in the afternoon and when I think about it whenever Leona Graham is on but I think that's because I fancy her a bit (although for the life of me I haven't a clue why)

I have heard many people with the same view. Wright is an ignorant, self-satisfied tw@. He never plays any songs to their full length, laughs at his own appauling 'jokes' and interrupts guest. His mongoloid co-hosts just seem so damn pleased with themselves all the time too.

I like the old woman, and the factoids buts thats about it.

The traffic is pretty spot on mind, I wouldnt mind if it was just factoids and Sally traffic.

Steve Wright acts about 25 but is in fact 125.

Can we first get rid of Sarah Kennedy though? It's like they walked into a nursing home and put the first inmate they had onto radio, without her medication.

He does seem to have become more annoying in the last couple of years. Maybe trying too hard.

The bit that made me turn over a couple of weeks ago (I'll admit that I listen to R2 when I'm in the car on a long journey (the continuity of RDS)) was a so called "factoid" of an American woman who is suing the US Govt because she took a nipple piercing out. The actual story was that before boarding a flight a woman was searched and was asked to remove a nipple piercing in front of a bunch of giggling guys, and they gave her a used set of pliers to do it!! Wouldn't you be consulting a lawyer after that?

I'm just getting angry nowadays that no media can actually tell a story anymore, everything gets clipped for the laugh.....

Maybe I'm just getting old.wink

I would happily round up the every presenter on Radio 2, send them off to Belsen, put them in a gas chamber and release the gas myself. All except Jeremy Vine, who would be singled out for special torture inflicted by me for many months, then he too would be for the chamber.

I like Terry, Chris Evans and Mark Radcliffe, otherwise I listen to Radio 5. The DJ's overnight aren't bad either, however I tend to listen to Ian Collins on Talksport during this time.

I used to listen to Talksport all day, however I only listen on the weekends when Mike Parry is on, he talks bks but is entertaining.

Given that most of the DJ's are staying, even that daft bint Sarah Kennedy, what happens to R2 at 7pm and most of the weekend? Seems like someone flips a switch and we get radio 93 or something equally as bizarre. Do they think Mr and Mrs Normal cease to exist at 7 and weekends?

plonkers.
