I sat with him for an hour or so the other week and had a good chat and laugh and he was as interested in what I did/was doing as I was in him and his job.

You've got to bear in mind he's a performer and the show is nothing more than that - a performance. Guests are rarely live, he works more hours than any other dj on R2 as he gets the best by recording and editing. Sure he's a bit confident and each to their own if you feel he's past it but the figures are there for all to see and he draws in the audiences day and day out so he must be doing something right.

he worked a lot of hours in his original show creating those hugely amusing charactors to argue with 'Mr Angry' etc,
you've met him, your likely thinking he's a top fellow now depending how star struck you become (I don't know)

Agreed he has a following, luckily I can read a whole newspaper by myself, and don't need him or his team frantically ringing interesting articles, with a felt pen to helpfully read me later.

His target audience consist of mogadon fueled housewives who hang on JlG every green word,
thick plasterers/plumbers (add appropriate trade here) who don't want to waste calories reading the Sun' cos' its all full of immigrants innit'

Mark Radcliff is a tt, it was music to my ears when he got the bullet from Radio 1 his show used to get right up my snout! While i'm on the subject of Radio 1 i might start a topic called " Bin Jo Whiley" she is a depressing slut, everytime i have the mis-fortune to catch Radio 1 when she is on it she is always rattling on about how st things are, or someone dying, she is always fking moaning!................... i feel better now!

Ok yes but he is playing the side-kick roll isn’t he. I think with his own side-kick he would do much better.
