Years ago, pre mobile phones etc, I found myself in exactly the same position. Mates girlfriend doing exactly the same crap this cow is doing, includign the touching, telling me what she wanted to do with me etc etc

In the end, even though I never did anything, and he and she broke up when some months later she got the hint and went off and shagged another guy in the group we all hung out in, that mate always thought I'd led her on, encouraged her etc. She made sure he had that grain in his head, because I never made the smart move of telling him from the off what she was doing. I was young and flattered I guess, if I'm totally honest. Needless to say, it totally ruined the friendship.

I think the OP will be lucky to come out of this still mates TBH.

I've not ever replied to any of these threads, but a similar situation happened to me back when I was 19, maybe 20.

This particular girl was a friend of my best mate at the time, and he hankered after her in a serious way. She knew this, but wasn't particularly interested - content just to flirt a bit with him. For months he talked about nothing but this ruddy woman.

Anyhow, first time she met me properly was when we all went out clubbing one night. Now we never worked out if it was an attempt to wind my mate up, or if she actually fancied me, but she was all over me all night.

Being the decent sort of chap that I am, I let it go so far then backed off - putting my trusted pal's friendship above this incredibly fit girl's desire to get into bed with me.

Even when my mate tried to vent his frustration/anger at her behaviour and her constant brush-offs by way of trying to start a fight with me, I stayed true to the rules of brotherhood that are the essential when you spend half your life in and out of all sorts of scrapes with your mates.

After that night she was never, spoken, seen or heard of again.

Amongst our group I was feted, for a time, as the sort of chap who could be relied on to be a mate. A decent bloke.

Circumstance dictated that over the months following that night, our merry little band of brothers went their own way in life, as you do at that age. I moved to London and gradually lost contact over time - haven't spoken to any of them for at least Seven years now.

The moral of my story?

'Mates' are just as transient as 'Birds'

and

Don't let pride and a bloody nose get in the way of a decent shag.

Same sort of thing happeend to me a couple years back, one of my best mates was seeing this girl for a couple years during 6th form.
He treated her like st, slept with about 4-5 different girls when he was with her.
She always used to say on MSN & such that she wished he could be more like me and if we were both ever single we should hook up.
Anyway she set me up with some of her mates who i promptly nailed!
Few months later they split up and she's like can you come and meet me for drink i really need someone to talk to.
I agreed, we met up and she was crying her eyes out etc.
Made sure i didnt do anything, anyway we didnt speak for a few more months & by now its about 6 months since they split up and me and my mate barely spoke anymore anyway.
As it happens i slept with her, we agreed not to tell him, she told him (like women do) a couple weeks later, he tells me i'm a c*** and never wants to see me again.
Spoke to him a few weeks ago and he's completely forgotten about it now and doesnt give a st anymore...
So wait till they split up.
Give it a couple months then smash her back doors in...

Don't do it - it's simply not worth it for all the hassle it'll cause. Imagine the regret you'll feel afterwards!

The more complicated issue is the fact that your mate is going out with a girl that would think nothing of cheating on him. That's what would concern me. As to what to do about that, I really have no idea. It deserves some thought though.
