Hi All,

Driving the Furka, Susten and Grimsel passes shortly.

Anyone driven them recently and anything to be especially aware of other than the stunning views, if you get my drift !

Thanks jpcgt

I was there end of June.
Fantastic roads as always. The earlier, the better for light traffic.
I came across some "fans" with binoculars close tot he dam of the Grimsel on the way up going north to south. They insisted on stopping me for an autograph !

Try to stay within speed limits, the scenery is excellent so no need to rush, and the Swiss penalties for speeding can be severe https://www.ch.ch/en/driving-over-speed-limit/

Thanks for the heads up. Always breath easier when crossing the boarder into Italy/Austria.

Just returned from driving the Alps and we had one ‘document stop’ in both Switzerland and Germany. It was clear that we were being tracked/watched whilst in Switzerland as the Swiss policeman said that we had been observed to have driven ‘respectably’. Germany was just a ‘document check’ on the autobahn given they have an aversion to groups of supercars travelling (racing) on their autobahn (aka Gumball). Other than that, we appear to have escaped the clutches of the Swiss police, but you need to have your eyes in your back of your head switched on.
