Lockdown in France

Thanks mate that's very kind,I will see how it goes at the end of lockdown.
I don't think there is a one trip a day rule. It's just that you must have a attestation for each trip( meaning you can't use the same one).
Madam Magoo went shopping yesterday morning then we went out to walk the dog in the evening.
I've been nowhere since lockdown apart from dog walking. Absolute bliss!
No worries, just let me know..I don't think there is a one trip a day rule. It's just that you must have a attestation for each trip( meaning you can't use the same one).

Just the exercise is once a day, i seemed to overlay that on all activities
Not really had the need for going out twice a day anyway tbh, nice to know we can though.. walking dog ‘with’ your wife ok then?
We just did our first walk together but thought we were bending rules slightly
One of our neighbours told us yesterday walking with members of same household is now ok? I"d assume both names on attestation, possibly both signing?
In other news I managed to actually get into our local Bricomarche, chaperoned by member of staff to get a few items for some DIY to break the boredom......2 washbasins to move/ replace and a new post for the Arbor where the tree stump finally gave up after 7 years!

I think that he did a fair job of kicking the ball far enough down the road, so that it could seem like some light at the end of the tunnel? He doubled the confinement period, virtually without comment.
Far better than being quizzed daily about testing, PPE, Police enforcement, availability of ventilators, common drugs, etc. His approval rating is increasing by not exposing himself to press scrutiny, that even poor old Donald endures. A very smart move.
I can’t actually see a great improvement from the 11th May, being an older person who enjoys cafes, restaurants, cycling, or a drive to the city, for the hell of it. But it does give us a chance to save for the inevitable sharp increase in taxes next year.

Out today for some flexi connectors to swap basins around, used phone app for first time and actually had to use it for only the second check in 4 weeks. Cursory glance at first page, no scan of the code and a merci.....
There were however at least 2 cars/ vans being checked at side of road along with the car in front of me...... attestation check then a walk round to check windscreens for CT? / insurance
A few more euros for the coffers?

Oddly I experienced a kind of reverse of that...on my way to the shop last Thursday (possibly Thursday, all the days seem the same now...) they were doing stops...as I slowed down and pulled my passport out (top pocket) they just waved me on by.... The thing is a passport is no good as id. You need ID with a home address on it. Although when he saw the colour of your passport he thought better of it!Magooagain said:

Ha, cheers...didn't know that. I've got my Carte de Sejour in my wallet, so I guess that would be ok?Though my positive passport experience is maybe the way forward?
Finally decided on a return date, getting fed up of no pottering to be done, not being able to start the next biggish project as the Dechetterie is a no go and fear of being hunted down and relieved of 135€ ( or 70ish bottles of wine/beer money) if I go on the MTB on my own into the deserted forests and get stopped on the short road sections to and from there.
Sunday the 3rd from Dieppe and probably the only car on there hopefully and no traffic this side and quiet in UK unless the usual M way closures occur.
Also need to get used to paying tolls by card for this journey, Alis tag finished April 15th and new one, if posted, will be in UK for next time....OH will be sound asleep I guarantee.

Can anyone that side of the channel give me a digest of the French government's thinking of when a lockdown might be lifted .
We were planning a trip to the Dordogne first week in August ,if the French thinking is similar to the UK ,I can't see it happening.
Having said that,we get mailing from a French camp site suggesting taking bookings from mid May.

I keep saying I'm glad to be stuck here than stuck in the UK.
I've got things I can do at home....garden, tidy the loft, mend a car I've been putting off for 18 months......and go out for a cycle ride without having to produce a proxy piece of paper.
Downside is having to queue if I go to a large supermarket, weather probably not as good and having to talk the same old crap to the neighbours. ☺
Also need to retrieve our dog and cat from son, dog was with them anyway, cat they picked up from cattery when we should have returned originally. 2 weeks has turned into 7.
I really would like to stay but preferably under better circumstances.......as the saying goes .....' you're a long time dead'
French lockdown is being reviewed 11th May I believe?
I'd be surprised if it changes that much, possibly relax the leisure restrictions?
I feel the Govt won't cave in to the pressure unlike the UK where the media were already asking when before the peak

Today is our 15th Anniversary of moving here. It has taken Covid-19 for me to realise just what we have.
My home in the UK is nice enough, but here is just perfect in these troubled times.
One of our favourite restaurants has started doing Pret-a-manger, so, come Saturday, another little box of perfection will have been ticked.
DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THE GRASS IS ALWAYS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HILL. IT RARELY IS.
Well I’m in the opposite situation, we should have been in France but are still here in UK.
Was hoping to have a bike ride with old’ uns
But the restrictions here are not as bad as France, I’m riding when I want, walking when I want with no restrictions 50/60 km bike rides and the weather has been fine.
I’d rather be in France but it’s not bad here.
Upside is all the diy and maintenance on this house is getting done as we’re only here in the winter with the wet and cold. Sorting out the garage painting window etc it’s not bad at all.
Just the pubs shut and the restrictions on shopping but I could go twice a day if I wanted.
Come on back Dave and we’ll catch up later this year.

I would like to stay however there are other considerations amongst them in no particular..... OH has limited weeks to be away from UK, Salad Cream has nearly run out and I will have to return to work at some pointI sort of got "lost" today going shopping on the bike, it appears the distance was at least double than in the car. 🙄
Someone might recognise where I went wrong.....
