You can buy packs of masks and bottles of hand sanitiser aplenty in the supermarkets here so no need to stock up in the UK before leaving!
Thanks. I’ll stock up tho - a supermarket is the last place I want to be whilst on holiday.

Yep, just waiting for the details now. At least this time we should have the digital version of the attestation immediately - it took quite a while to introduce first time around.

Indeed, should help. Just waiting to hear if I can work from home or they still want me to go in.

My girlfriend, French and living in France, was due to move in with me in the UK next weekend. Due to yesterday's announcement, I am driving to collect her tomorrow from Compiegne.

I'll have a copy of the attestation, is it likely I'll face a grilling at the border, and potentially get pulled when driving? Does the attestation allow you to cross regions, or is that forbidden completely?

That doesn't seem that clear to be honest to me, I'd guess that travelling 'in transit' is likely to be OK, but depends on the day/the gendarme - I feel due to the school holiday finish this weekend and the feedback from my French colleagues that there will be some 'flex' to travel home... But not sure how accurate that is. What's your eta to collect / return?

Should be some more clarifications and details coming tonight

This is the current draft, it allows for long distance driving, but not daily exercise or shopping for necessities.

https://media.interieur.gouv.fr/attestation-couvre...

May get updated with that info after 6:30pm.

Trips within 1km for the needs of your pets are OK though laugh

I saw this via the old link, but guessed it must be either old / for curfew areas / have drunk a bottle of red

Thanks for all the links, unfortunately they all seem to be pre-announcement. I'm just going to risk it and see what happens, and hopefully the attestation I have will suffice.

Thanks, I had to venture out to retrieve my previously broken car (don't ask!), so was truly testing the attestation of urgent needs to the limit... All back safely now though!

Well, it was the most uneventful journey I've ever had. Passport control at the tunnel didn't ask for a form, ask if I'd had Covid, or even say one word to me. I just got a grunt and a nod.

The roads were busier than I was expecting, but no issues with police. In fact, I hardly saw any during my 2 hours on the road here. Here's hoping the return journey on Sunday is just as smooth!

Thanks again for all the help.

We hired a van today from Intermarché, drove it 230km collecting furniture we had bought on Leboncoin, From 3 different people, went to Leclerc, which was as busy as usual, and the only sign of lockdown was that the roads were completely empty. Didn’t see a cop all day.

Was out yesterday morning ( working ) and got stopped by the Gendarmerie to check my attestation.
As normal, they were very polite, professional and said that they'd already had a few folks out without attestations so tickets were being issued.
This was on a local main ish route between two large villages, so certainly in Puy-de-Dôme they're checking......
