Well, we made it.
Macron made it a little more difficult than it needed to be, and I needn’t have packed my suit as the notaire signing day ended up being just us pasting signed docs through the letterbox. But we’re in!

Sorry I missed you both yesterday Sebastien. Glad it all worked out!
Will catch up next time.

Congratulations.... I followed the thread, so it's great to see you did it.

Is the view of the bridge from your property?

Thanks!

Yes. That’s what swung it. 1000m2 of garden bordering La Vienne.

It wouldn't have even crossed my mind to put on a suit to meet the notaire! wink
We had our 3 dogs in the Notaires office with us when we signed for our house! It was 35C outside and we couldn't leave them at the campsite we were staying at so the Notaire just said bring them in, top bloke.....

Only thing that crossed my mind in the notaries office when I bought was how much they were charging us for very little work !
The same crossed my buyers mind when I sold !

That reminds me of when we signed up at the Notaire
The house was being sold by Three sisters accompanied by their husbands . The sisters brother and his wife were there because he was getting some of the land. His son and wife plus their child [they were getting the farm transferred from the father] + the estate agent .That made 14+ the Notaire.
Standing room only!
