Not been back to the UK for several months for obvious reasons and I am running out of sweet chili sauce .
Anyone know which supermarkets stock it? My local Intermarché doesn`t

My local E Leclerc does it. But it is hyper store sized.

The shop, not the sweet chilli sauce. The sauce is normal sized.

Funny, as Sweet Chillie Sauce is something we can get in all our supermarkets, LeClerc, Super U and Carrefour.

We can also get Mango Chutney in most places but Lime Pickle and Papadums have yet to be invented.

Is Amazon a viable option? It must be on there.

www.britishcornershop.co.uk

This is a great place to buy stuff that you cannot get here - very slick operation. They managed to deliver 4pkts of Pataks Papadums and none where broken along with the other 30kg of stuff that we wanted.

Even better if a few folk can share the delivery cost.

Thanks gentlemen for all the info. One of the downsides of living in La France profonde is that we have limited choice locally .The nearest Leclerc is 28Km away and the nearest Grand Frais is 68Km.
With Covid on the increase in this region .we want to keep the visit to just one supermarket when we do the "Big shop " next week. Thanks again.

Just got back from Saumur LeClerc and bought some sweet chilli sauce. There were 6 different varieties / bottle sizes to chose from.

We also have quite a few varieties of nem sauces.

More of a Nem sauce (Spring Rolls), probably lacks the chilies - perhaps you could add your own, but they are like rocking horse droppings.

I think that I have seem Amoy sauces in all our local supermarkets

https://www.amoy.com/en/products?country=1&cat...

Our LeClerc has an Ethnique’s section where there is lots of stuff from Noodles to Mexican to McVite biscuits. In Angers we have a really good Asian (Vietnamese oriented) supermarket where we can buy Chilli and a Garlic paste etc. etc. As you are probably aware, sweet chilli sauce is about as powerful as a lot of a French go with their spices.

Fortunately they are less shy with Moroccan and Lebanese spices and flavours.

If you have an Action nearby they usually have it in stock or Grand-Frais. As mentioned before, many larger supermarkets with a foreign cuisine section usually have it.

I think the problem is we live between Villefranche-de-Rouergue and Rodez and the area doesn`t have a large expat population so we don`t get much in the way of English food like some areas. I will have to look further afield.

Neither does our little volcanic bit of the Auvergne... it's usually in the asian food section.
