I am very happy to announce that Sunday February 26th we have reached the 75 participants required to proceed with organising the TVR Continental Meeting at Zolder. We haven't received the 75 deposits yet, but we are confident that they will come. All participants will receive an e-mail with the programme later on.

See you at Zolder!

Best regards, Arnaud.

Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to bring a useful car for the track day but I'd like to come and watch everybody else. Would I have to register or do anything to be able to turn up as a spectator?

Dear participants of 2020 Continental Meeting,
The Corona virus is keeping us on our toes right now. Various countries have taken far-reaching measures to prevent the spread of the virus. The board of the TVR Car Club Holland monitors closely the situation that has arisen. There is regular contact with both the Circuit and the hotel in Heerlen. Based on these contacts, there is still no reason to cancel the event. However, the rules of the governments in the various countries will guide our decision-making. As soon as there is reason to do so, we will inform you through mails and through this medium.

On behalf of the board of TVR Car Club Holland,

Wim Wielaard, organizing committee
Dick Westerveld, chairman Dutch TVR Club

The Continental Meeting 2020 cancelled!

Dear contenders:
As a result of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak the 2020 Continental Meeting has been cancelled. We have not been able to get in contact with the Circuit Zolder. Supported by governmental decisions based on progressive insight we have come to this decision. We have considered different scenarios, but for reasons of health and safety, ultimately cancellation was the only realistic option .
The Dutch TVR Club, as organizer decided, with a month to go, the event to be cancelled rather than to be rescheduled in 2020.
We definitively will investigate organizing Continental Meeting next year and will let you know in due course.
All prepayments will be credited in the coming weeks.
All rooms booked at the van de Valk Hotel in Heerlen under the TVR tag have been cancelled by the organizing committee with no additional cost. Those who have booked directly without a cancellation possibility will get the opportunity to shift their stay within 12 months.
All bookings through Booking.com, Expedia etc. have to be cancelled through the appropriate channel.
We thank you all for your enthusiasm and hope to see you all next year if we can and will organize the CM again.

Stay healthy.

On behalf of the board of TVR Car Club Holland and the organizing committee,

Arnaud Witlox - Club Secretary

Thanks for letting us know Arnaud.

You must obviously be very disappointed but try to stay positive; you had enough interest to run the event this year so you can be confident of similar success in 2021.

Cheers,
L'rs

It is both sad, and a relief, that you have cancelled the event

I was concerned that your decision to revive the Continental Meeting this year could have been a financial disaster for the club

I am really hoping this will enable you to run the event next year, and I hope that I will be in a position to join you again, for what is undoubtedly the the most enjoyable car event I have ever attended

Best wishes to you all

Good Man

I have not asked for any refunds for anything booked that I can no longer attend - flights/accommodation/events etc

The only company that has disappointed is EuroTunnel, they have not extended the validity of my Frequent Traveller pass, even though I can't use it at present and have therefore lost the use the pass since it will expire soon, very sad

7th May this was posted on a Motorhome forum.......

"Just received an email from ELS extending all 12 month Wallets for another 12 months.
Great news without chasing them.
All Frequent travel wallet holders should find the update in our wallets over the next couple of weeks."

Cheers
