What type of carbon arches do I have?
Discussion
I have a 2000MY 1.6 Superlight with unpainted and apparently unlacquered carbon arches which I much prefer to the current very shiny (presumeably) lacquered carbon wings.
Is there a difference in construction between the my older arches and the newer ones? Does anyone still produce my type of arch?

It's not good to have them actually unlaquered. They'll degrade through water ingress.
Just have them sprayed with a matt laquer.
They may be sprayed with a matt lacquer for all I know. They are period wings as they came from the factory. No issues with water ingress and just need an occasional spray with a bees wax spray to keep them in good condition. Just have them sprayed with a matt laquer.

That is not correct. Caterham have not supplied CF wings that are lacquered, the shine depends upon the CF material that is used during manufacturing and some plain CF wings are high shine. If you lacquer the wings the lacquer will be prone to damage/chips just like a painted wing, particularly on the front outer edges which take a hammering from stones thrown up by the front wheels. The milkiness that appears only happens on some wing versions which may or may not be improved by lacquering.Just have them sprayed with a matt laquer.
