Hi.

Firstly the CTR is not the greatest car on the planet.

What it is though is very underated and those who try and tell others the strengths of the car come across aguments like - 'so its the new 172' (no offence) which isnt really about the car but the attitude of the owners.

Lol about evo being Max power - I'm sure they would love that.

Broccoli I agree, the CTR isn't and neither is the Elise. Every single car today has it's pros and cons and everyone has an opinion about them. Which is one of the reasons I love talking about them so much.

hmm...that Nurburing times are very interesting...but it's obviously a fan site...the official fast lap times seem reasonable..but everything else doesn't necessarily. What I'd like to see would be Walter Rhorl or similar taking all the top performance cars round (after a weeks 'getting to know them') - cos then we'd really know! different drivers in different cars means exactly that.....

I was wondering how long the 'driver ability' argument would raise its head. You have answered your own question - its all down to the driver at the end of the day. The CTR can hold its own driven well - my point.

LOL This discussion always interests me. (CTR v Elise) I've been out in a lightly modified Elise and found it quite slow above 40mph compared to a standard CTR. I also doubt the Elise is much faster around all but the tightest bests in comparison to the CTR.

So which would I take to the track? The Elise. I'm sure it'd be a darn site more fun but the Civic is potent road car for 16k new! It may well look like it cant corner but I've been amazed. A 190bhp Elise and we're talking. If only I could afford both!
