Is a step too far for me. Is very cool for what it is, but IMO it's not an Elise/Exige anymore - it's going to weigh a ton (well more than that), it's a lot bigger and more unwieldy, even the suspension is completely different - think there's a point where it's a kit car rather than a modified car, and he's past that point.
Bloody cool though.

That's not an Exige V10, that's a V10 engine with half an Exige stuck to the front of it.
Yup, I'll agree with that. I think if I was going to go that far, I'd be tempted to have a crack at doing my own bodywork - or at least a heavily reworked back end. The proportions just end up looking a bit Venom otherwise, which I think looks pretty crap (as a design exercise at least - obviously mean as hell and lots of presence but depends what you want in a car).
The RSW car was probably the best of the bunch, but even then making it longer just cocks up the overall design IMO.
Still just looks very tail heavy - and going off the rendering efforts of the V10 car, it'll look nowhere near as cohesive as this one.
some updates, lots of stuff back from the powder coater, so I guess building up starts soon?

I think you may be right. It might have been wiser to just buy an Ultima.Bloody cool though.

I can't help but smile - love the idea, just would be my house on it not working in the end.
Driven a home-brew Audi V6'd Exige and it handled like a pig. Owner thought it was great; reality was he couldn't drive for st and a K-Series car would have danced all round it.
I'm sure this guy has a good CV, but you're not going to get the sort of result as if it was a manufacturer-built car, or a properly engineered one by a well respected team.
Take a look at how GT3 Exiges went...more power required more of everything else and ultimately something not any quicker.
