I'm picking this up on Friday - moderatly excited, doesn't really cover it party :-

Will post some pics of my own when I get it home, though the ones above are pretty good. The pick up will involve a taxi, a flight, a taxi, a five hour drive, a two and a half hour ferry crossing and another two hour drive, so it will be a grand day out in it's own right.

I've aleady got some ideas for mods based on the excellent threads on here.

Gary that looks great (but I am bias!) I had mine out all weekend and really enjoyed it. First time I have used it since having the running in service so the sport button was pressed for the first time...

That looks terrific. I'd already been wondering if the roof would be better in body colour. I also like the carbon access panel and had been musing over one of those from Italy. Let's get it home first though!

I was slightly concerned over the bright colour, but I think it can take it. The wife thinks I have lost it. Which reminds me, I need to look into retro-fitting heated seats - I feel a thread coming on...

Thanks. I was the same over the colour but always wanted an orange Exige. I agree fed to buy it. Got home looking at pictures thinking “bloody hell it’s a bit bright what have you done!” So glad though I think they pull it off. My mate had a lime green one. That looked stunning as well.

Love this image someone got of me queuing up for a local meet. Was the first nice day of the year. Its a great shape, its the most 'exotic' feeling car I can think of for the cash.

Very nice - is that an OEM carbon access panel?

I've ordered a soft top too to hopefully enjoy some open top fun.

First job done at the weekend was to pull out some deformations in the metal front grilles, mask up (the worst part!), and repaint. Not a great choice of grille material as it looks like these are easily 'dented' and chipped exposing the shiny metal underneath. Maybe it is lighter than a plastic alternative :-

I also made a little number plate mounting plinth from an old number plate and will put on a shorter front plate. Unfortunately It's not possible to go too short as it needs to cover both screw mounts on the grille behind.
