Where is the best place to get driver training for the Elise, this is the first time I have had a car like this and the first time I want to do track days ?

I want to make sure I am getting the most out of the car. I will also be joining the Lotus owners Club, do they have any instructors ?

Thanks

Well there is the Lotus Driving Driving Skills 1 course which you could attend, this is done through The Johnny Herbert Experience at Rockingham in Corby. The time you spend with the Lotus engineers and instructors is great and very informative, however after the fiasco i attended on Saturday i would recommend waiting a few months until they sort out thier organisational skills. We were meant to spend about 4 hours in the cars, it ended up that we spent 45 mins in total.

There are loads of other companys who offer driver training, one being HPC (www.hpc2001.co.uk) with John Lyon who is A1 and does the training in your own car on the road first, then if you wish to proceed further on the track at Millbrook testing facility. He is the best i have come across so far.

If you want to discuss any of these, call me on 07887 845 838

A second vote for 1st lotus

Andrew walsh is an excellent instructor (ex renault cars racer) - gives you complete confidence to test the cars handling and whilst safety is a concern he does not go overboard on the obvious
usually runs a day in North weald for about £105 if you use your own car and there are four people on the course - you have a free area to practise in

highly recommend
