Similar to a thread below I've got a non-starting elise s2 K-series when warm
It catches - maybe runs for a couple of revs then dies then won't start again when its warm. A couple of times today it then started maybe 10 mins later. Started fine when cold, but this afternoon it wouldn't start at all.

I initially thought fuel - due to the initial catch (i.e maybe some fuel in the pipes - to get it started, but then starved of fuel) but I can't see why that would be any diff when cold. - on that note should I be able to hear the fuel pump priming or running when I turn on the ignition? Because I can't hear anything and I would expect to hear the pump running or priming?

However I've done a quick google and it seems theres a few threads on various forums about the same thing and the cam sensor comes up as a suggestion a lot. - basically still a fuelling issue I reckon but due to duff info from a sensor somewhere when warm.

I'll put a new air filter in and check / clean the MAF but if its the cam sensor, is that a home job or do I need some timing widgits from a rover / lotus specialist? or can you statically time it at home? Is there a how to / wiki anywhere as I can't find one.

thanks

EDIT to add - I've had another look - and I'm guessing its not the type of sensor I thought that needs adjusting or timing - I guess we are talking about the one in the head, just behind the manifold?

Also as I'm changing / cleaning air fliters / etc it would be rude not to fit a hurricane or similar induction system - any thoughts on eliseparts version?
