Its MOT time and I have to get the cat fitted back in cos my car came with bypass pipe in place.
I'm fairly mechanically minded and dont see any problems (oh those famous last words), are there any?

does the cat only fit one way round?, does it matter which way round it goes? I've heard people mention an oxygen sensor, is it attached to the cat, will I unbolt the undertray and go, ahh oxygen sensor!???

advice would be welcomed......

In theory dead easy.

In practice if the bolts holding the bypass pipe are not stainless then you'll need to get familiar with seized bolt removal techniques . . . if the worst comes to the worst you can grind/saw them off so it's no real drama.

The oxygen sensor is nowhere near the cat, you won't see it and don't need to worry about it.

The car will only fit one way round due to the bolt spacing on the flanges, so you have no worry their either.

30 minute job, end to end if you have stainless bolts.

indeterminate job if not, depends how badly seized they are.
