hi folks,

have a look at www.madnessdesign.com. This french compagny will show a new car on elise-basis at the paris motorshow end this month. There are some good ideas, but on colours and taste I don' discuss. Interesting car anyway

from the web site it looks like they are using the VX200 as the "vehicule de base" rather than the elise.

Looks interesting, but i don't really see the point. They're making a lightweight two seater body for the car, but hang on.. it already HAS a lightweight two seater body!

I think it looks good, but i can't see how they can hope to make a profit. tooling costs with be pretty huge as will the cost of buying the rolling chassis.. and i'm not sure that they're be many takers for this given how good the standard car is (and the standard car has a full dealer network support etc).

Yes, I like the styling as well, but I can't help but feel that the gently sloping rear end is going to produce alot of rear lift.

It will certainly warrant putting a spoiler on it of some kind, hang on wasn't there another car that had this problem?....
