Nicely done - easy enough ?
Yeah, just a dozen or so bolts, some muscle to lift the exhaust in / out and job done. A bit like big scale Meccano. No ramp or lift, done in 3 hours. Could do it in 2 I guess now I know the score.

Is your 2bular the track valved or the road valved and how noisy is it to the standard exhaust?

I'm debateing the road one but don't want it any louder than the standard, but I'm concerned if I go track vlved it will be too quiet!

Cheers
The 2bular exhaust isn't valved as it's designed to meet track noise regs. As far as I'm aware that's the only way on the 380/410/430. The road system is valved.

For noise comparisons..... The 2bular is 93db approx as it is and 90db with the add on cans. The standard road system is in the 80s until the valve opens..... and then you're looking at around 115db.

What a fantastic evening at Brands on Thursday. Lucky with the weather too. 63 laps completed and no dramas.

I had the QP track exhaust on my Sport 380 and it’s going on the 410. It does the job for track use. If you give it the berries everywhere you’ll still trip the meters at Goodwood, but they are particularly sensitive there.

The QP is also a fair bit lighter than stock too.
I was at Goodwood yesterday running the QP. Experience is telling me that the noisiest part of the 410 (with the QP fitted) is the supercharger. Cans on or off I was close to hitting the driveby limit. Thruxton is a similar situation..

Are you running the stock toyota airbox?
Or is that changed on the 410?

Have ordered a QP exhaust for the 350. But also tempted by a Komotec or Alias23 intake, but heard they increase noise levels?

Thanks
P
Airbox is different on the 410/430.

I've heard cars have had issues on track with upgraded airboxes. Might be worth asking Alias23 for advice on that.

Nice work.

Not yet been round in a 410, but my 996 GT3 & Sport 380 where both 2nd through the chicane for me & I use 3rd for Lavant.
Are you investing in a track exhaust for your 410? You'll need it for Goodwood. The supercharger is the noisiest thing once you've quietened the exhaust, but there's not a great deal you can do to sort that.

As standard will the car pas a 105dB static and 98dB drive-by noise limit ?
So long as you stay below 4500rpm when the valves open. Above that you're way over.

Back at Thruxton again yesterday with OpenTrack. It's been 8 months since I've seen my parents so it was nice to take my dad out for a few leisurely laps in good weather. And yes, he did borrow one of my shirts for the day.

What was the noise limit @ Thuxton?

One I've never done - I thought they only did quiet days?
90db. You'll need the bigger 350mm cans to get on

Another cracking day the Ring. It was quite a busy TF at times but everyone appeared to be playing fair so no close shaves or scares to report.

A few more pics from Sunday / Monday

The only lap I managed to record with sound (mic appears to have died on me). 2nd lap of the day. 1st was wet, this lap was just drying out. Didn't get below 9m due to traffic on Sunday unfortunately.

This morning we were in for an ECU update to clear a recurring (spurious) spanner light and an update on the abs module.
