New arrival. Exige 410 Sport
Discussion
What a great thread.
Having sold my Alfa QV last September I have been enjoying a few Atom's I am tempted on a 410... It sounds like the perfect middle ground between the two cars.
A lot of my driving is road biased maybe 3 track days a year at most.
I would be tempted by a EX475 fit fitted, Are you not tempted to add some more power given you've probably run out of other ways to modify it now..?

Almost done. South West have been doing a grand job getting the blue beast back to its best. Currently it's getting a bit of paint done but I'm hoping to have her back in a couple of weeks
New engine and box in..... amongst many other bits
As it was prior to paint. The sills need a bit of work where the arches meet the new clam. Could have been worse there.
I'm hoping to have a couple of new pics at the end of the week

Stunning, may I ask what is the finish on your wheels please? Factory or did you get them done like that?New engine and box in..... amongst many other bits

good pictures, nice to see the CUP 380 written in the chassis.
also your name and the 410, is that done in the Lotus factory (so when the car was build at the time) or did you or this garage did that.
It was purely to mark the heatsheild up so they knew it was mine. They're not easy to find so needed to make sure it didn't accidentally sell to somebody else. also your name and the 410, is that done in the Lotus factory (so when the car was build at the time) or did you or this garage did that.
The Cup380 marking was very important to me. I didn't want to lose that if I could help it. Unfortunately there were no other subframes out there so we'd prepared ourselves to fit a 350 subframe and just mod it to match the Cup380 item. Luckily it wasn't damaged so I got to keep the original item. It was easily cleaned up and James gave it a lick of zinc primer and hammerite to protect it long term.
The new gearbox has a Quaife fitted too

The finish is Shadow-Chrome. James has it done as they needed a refurb after the accident. It's a really nice finish and still quite similar to OEM. The car came out the bodyshop today after having the sills repaired and painted. Now to get it finished .....

I think there’s a bit missing. Did you crash it? It goes from track pics on last page to rebuild on this page.
10 out of 10 for observation. No, I didn't crash this one. Unfortunately we had a bit of a fire back in May at the Ring. The reason I've not said much about it is because people become critical experts with limited information. Best policy is forward motion and getting it back on the road / track

Never really understood the angst with repairs on an aluminium tubbed Lotus. As long as the tub is okay you just unbolt broken bits and bolt new bits on, new car! It's brilliant although expensive. Factory standard car? Do you know what caused the fire? No, I didn't crash this one. Unfortunately we had a bit of a fire back in May at the Ring. Is always a worry for me but I do keep a firestick in the car but pray it never happens.

All people need to know is: it happened, it was bloody expensive and laborious to rebuild and I wouldn't advise copying me because the parts network might not support such a big job now the factory has moved onto other things.
