Any opinions or knowledge of this car ? I have found the thread of the old owner on another forum . I have been looking st 410s with the plans of adding a komotec 475 kit but this does seem well built with a lot to it. What do you think price wise? I think the original seller had it up for 60 what he got in the end though im not sure .

I was looking at this yesterday and the car was spotless and clearly been well maintained and a lot of money spent on it, previous owner spent over 20k on the car with modifications.

I did not buy it as I’ve got a 410 but if I did not have a 410 I’d be going for this as it’s a seriously rapid bit of kit and if you think of it in a man maths way it’s like getting the car for 40k due to the money spent.

I’ve also purchased a car of DT Performance before and the preparation is absolutely superb, they give their cars a full detail and paint correction prior to delivery and ensure cars are fully serviced and any issues no matter how minor are sorted. The customer service afterwards is also top notch.

Tom is the guy I purchased from and he really is fantastic to deal with, great guy!

It looks a mega bit of kit.
It has been for sale for a while as I suspect the market for this is fairly narrow but if you were looking to go down this route on a car, the way prices have firmed on all Exiges recently, this is now looking good value.

Yea the price was a bit steep to begin with close to 70k and I know previous owner had it up for 59.9k so someone got a bargain , I think closer to 60 can't be bad

Give Tom a call at DTPerformance as he is a real nice guy and I’m sure he can sort you out good test drive and then a good deal if you go for it.

It is certainly one of the nicer cars on market and it’s got every carbon option and around 10k of engine performance stuff from Komotec who are one of the best Lotus tuners out there and with 470-500 horses they are mental quick machines.

Before you go any further with the car you need to be aware that it was a Sport and not a cup car.

With it allegedly pushing out 500bhp I would certainly want full details of all the upgrades.

When you consider Komotec charge €16,300 just for a performance upgrade without all the other parts required to handle the additional power

In addition you need Engine, gearbox strengthening, bigger brakes, upgraded shocks etc . You can easily add another £10k

I spoke to them today and engine hasnt been forged but is running 470 bhp atm has everything on the ex500 kit apart from the internals I think so should you want to run the 500 its ready just needs the internals done

I was looking at this car and without the forged engine I don’t see the point in having the EX500 kit. Rather the 460 with the bigger charge cooler with better cooling.

This doesn’t have an LSD or gearbox mods/cooling either. I run a 2GR car and on track I’ve had to go to Toyota for a new box so interested to hear how Exige owners fare.

Thats the main thing holding me back as for 5k you can get a 410 to the same power , so 10 grand more will get a 410 3 years newer half the mileage same power but fresh build

All 380s had a gearbox cooler from the factory.

I don’t know whether it’s because it’s running more power but I do know this particular car had trouble shifting at higher revs.

The original owner of the car lived on the Isle of Man and he wanted more power however once that was achieved the rest of the driveability.
