6ft 1" - Do I fit into an Elise ?

Without dragging my arse to the nearest dealer is there any chance someone who is over 6ft would fit into an Elise ????

Yes, you should have no problem. When this has been discussed before several owners have confessed to being 6'3" or larger and the only problems they have are either (depending on whether their height is in their legs or trunk):

a) steering wheel touching legs (curable with smaller steering wheel/different mounting)
b) gearstick touching leg (curable by fitting a quickshift gearstick)
c) back of head higher than headrest - may hit rollbar in an impact (not good)

You really should try it out, but at 6'1" I'm sure you'll be fine. I'm 6'0" and don't come close to having any of the above problems.

I'll second C above, it hurts I know from experience. I put padding on my roll bar after I dented the first one.

6'2" (ish) no problems. have quite long legs compared to body.

I'm 6'1" as well, no problems as long as you fold in the middle to get in. I've given rides to people over 200 lbs and they are not comfortable, but I'm about 190 lbs (13 1/2 stone for the brits) and I'm fine. I also wear my racing crash helmet with the roof on, both hard and soft top and it clears the roof no problem. Big feet and wide shoes can have problems with the pedals, but my size 11 nikes are fine.

One reason I got an Elise in the first place was that I don't fit in a Europa or any of the Seven's or 7-clones that I tried. The Esprit doesn't quite have enough headroom either.

Am 7'3" tall and need cushion on seat and timber blocks on pedals - you should have no problems...

The Speedster/VX220 has a fixed pad on the front of the roll bar for precisely this reason. Probably not fitted to the Elise due to cost/weight.

Same question. 6ft4" and 15 1/2 stone. what are my chances?

6' 4" and the wrong side of 16 stone. The height is no problem but the weight is! There is a noticeable difference between my car and one with a lighter driver.

Amputation of legs would assist both matters but would make driving difficult.

When i first bought an elise I could not twirl the wheel without fouling my right knee. Cured by snap off boss and Momo Power, £250 from Demon Tweeks.

It amazes me that as true Europeans we still measure height in ft inches and wt in stones - there must be a EU Directive somewhere banning such things..
