Lovely update, the engine looks almost small in that engine bay :-)
keep up doing the good work, guess its not so easy going from front engine to rear and from AWD to RWD and the electronics.

i'm chickening out on mounts an drive shafts and electronics

with Sadev traverse box its kinda a simple to convert from AWD to 2WD ; impt bit is all the bits are on the right side
- in theory and will all that lovely space perfect driveshaft alignment should be possible

all gone a bit mad...

blown the budget on Italia pistons and con rods (good for 500+).. Lamspeed turbo, manifold, headgasket etc
- all in all, allowing a potential 500 BHP at the wheel and thats before i look at E85 fuel

DJ sports has all the engine mounts done, but got a delay with roll cage install

so engine off for a custom build adding all the nice power bits...then for sequential box and clutch being attached and finally into the car... ready to do all the twiddly bits before a custom wiring loom

slow progress

560BHP - nice!

custom roll cage is now in the car, rear bulkhead going in at present

i get engine back in a couple of weeks, then match it to gearbox and its then in the car hopefully by end of S[et
then lots of bits to add
charge cooler, electrics etc

yep - dont even ask!
i do majority my self having run my own garage business many years ago.

having the engine build and install sorted by others; and its all accelerating!
I hope to have engine and box as 'one' in few weeks and another for install/drive shafts

Then off to ProAlloy for bespoke charge cooler... and then a lot of joining pipes up by me before a custom canbus loom.
Then we put fuel in, ETA is now Nov/Dec

and it needs painted!

an update
Dan at DJR Performance has the engine built and father Xmas is delivering it to Dan (yes another Dan) at DJ Engineering to be mated to the Sadev box, pleneum chamber and dry sump to be fitted and the package installed in the car

Father X also sent a pile of electronic goodies to make it all work, then its off to Pro Alloy for the bespoke charge cooler

images of engine before and after deck fitting (stops the cylinders moving at high 500+ power levels)

and of assembled unit

Some lovely stuff, but here’s a more prosaic real world question. How reliable are the DVA 160-170 modified K series engines? Anything to look out for?

update - engine and gearbox are in
car is with Proalloy for bespoke charge cooler and the water plumbing

meanwhile i'm making my own carbon rear engine hatch with vents (think poor mans Reverie) merging S2 elise and S2 exige engine covers, to improve engine cooling
