Hi all,

Have a house in Galway and I looking to buy a principal private residence in the capital.

To avoid stamp I have to buy new. Looking for a one or two beds with secure parking. Can any recommend any new builds planned close to town? Not much around for "off the plans" buys at the minute.

Dubs, Sutton Castle apartments look nice.....€1M out of my range though!

Adrian,

Be a bit more specific about what you want. A good friend of mine works for Hamilton Osbourne King and she can get me info on whatever they do, or will be doing as it may be. In order to avoid stamp duty, for a first time buyer on a new build the limit is about €315k, If you own the house in Galway, you're knackered.

Mail me if you don't want the details here.

1/2 bed with secure parking 270K – 310K (i.e north side). Not concerned about stamp duty if it is a new build.

If your mate at HOK is book building for any new developments and wants to give me a call you can pass on my number.

I saw an ad for a 2 bed in the IFSC at €920K – when will the madness end? I called the top once too often and suffered as a result.

I'll talk to her later on, It's not going to be too close to the city for that money but I'll ask her.

Only too well aware of that. Thinking more Arrow than Dart!

Brian, thanks for you help but you can cancel that request. Decided to look for a second hand apartment and get in before my own in Galway is finished.
