I'm new to Cerb ownership and I had preconceptions of the SP6 reading up on various threads, comments and the very real factory reliability issues, but after reading through the whole thread and I have to say powers rebuilds are giving me a new appreciation of the capabilities and reliability of the speed six.

Mine was standard rebuild by powers some years back and I'm hoping to get some good driving time out of it yet, but when the time comes (even with the offer of larger cc) the 4.3 or 4.5 (dependant on funds) will be my way to go...they look like a real sweet spot.

I have in my mind considered the LS conversion but regardless of the "it has to be an AJP for a Cerb" discussions when purchasing, these incredible looking cars were also manufactured with SP6 as standard and it belongs just the same. Now it just seems you may be able to have your cake and eat it cool

Hi Phil, totally correct. I wanted a s6 Cerb and when mine came to rebuilding I considered the LS but then did realise I never wanted the v8 and the s6 was my choice so the ajp argument never really does much for me.

The 4.5 really is a new level of the S6 experience in a easy living way as after all the upgrades the chore of having to drive just seems removed in that you get in it and go but never feel like you have to search for how epic the performance is. I remember after the run in and oil change I got in the car and was driving normally while thinking wtf I need to slow down and use less pedal then realised I wasn’t doing anything different to normal. No need to change down a gear as this thing pulls from anywhere.

Drop me a pm and we can talk the minor details further wink
