My car has been at TVRSSW because of running issues. It has now been diagnosed as the ECU and has been deemed as non repairable due to obsolete parts. The options i have are a new system supplied by Power Performance, have spoken with TVR Parts who, although advertising the ecu's as new, haven't actually got any. Does anyone have a spare ECU they don't need after upgrading their own system. It is the wedge type E6549.

Thanks
Paul

Had similar issues.

Bottom line is to trawl E-bay and see if any are for sale 2nd hand. Else is a 'phone call to the breakers - TVR Glen, Douglas Valley or the outfit near Bath.

Going price should be £300 - £350.

Have you tried Python Racing for repair?

Hi Stewart,
That's a coincidence TVRSSW put out an email out on their facebook looking for one. They were contacted by Python Racing they had a refurbished exchange one in stock. So an ECU is on its way hopefully i can pick up the car on the weekend. This has saved me going down a new MBE route.

Thanks
Paul

More like £500 from Douglas Valley. Bought one myself and didn't need it in the end so sold it on eBay for £475 and was bought within minutes!!
Power reckon I could of got £900 as you just can't get them.

Not sure where Power got £900 from. Paid a lot less than that for a refurbished unit.

Are they going to put your 4.3 map on it?

Hi Paul

Do you know how much Python charged for the ECU refurb? I have a 'spare' one that I would like to have checked over.
