The engine chap reckoned a good engine will last 35,000 miles which is still crap, but he said it really is a race car engine design.
35,000 miles? Why put a 'race engine' in a road car? There are plenty of engines putting out a reliable 350bhp that should sail past 100k.
Race engine, my ar....
Yeah, I agree with you.
OK, questions now are:
- Can I get someone to build the original Melling-design Speed 6 ('AJP6') and put it in a TVR?
- How much is that gonna cost me?
- Is THAT gonna last me at least 50k??
I can see it now - pick up a 2nd hand Tamora complete with blown engine for 15k, add Melling S6 for 10k, heaven?!
