Sorry to repeat an old thread but I was interested in any info on the differences between the road S6 4 litre and the one that raced in the GT class this and last year. I'm assuming most of the internals were changed.

Better still any names or contact info for the engine builders that put them together and did the development.

Presumably there are quite a few bright sparks out there with extensive development knowledge for the S6 as a race engine, as it's been raced with remarkable success for what 3 or 4 years?

Cool.

That engine mounting looks decidedly dodgy.........

Could do with at least two more knots

That engine looks like it has a counter balance on the end of the crankshaft......I would not expect to see this on a race engine. If it is a counter balance then it suggests to me that the crank is a cast item and possibly a standard TVR engine, perhaps for general spares...?!?

I seem to recall that LNT use an engine builder in Daventry, Northants, but cannot remember who. I think it was mentioned in Sprint a little while back.

Ring and speak to the engine builder chap at Henley Heritage/Speed 6 enginetech. He built the race engines and can tell you all about them.

Basically the same design, with a modified block for better cooling of the rear cylinder with all very very very expensive race parts in the engine ie pistons rods etc etc

cheers
