Astons - fat barges most - look good but when you find out how much they weight you realise that will never be Properly quick or chuckable.

Now the TSO is another thing altogether - Do it. (the engine rocks to - I know!)

Anyway back to Whiteys issues - when is someone else with a Tusc RR or Tusc S or even a Saggonna hit SRR?

I'm not that bothered about having a car I can really throw into corners - had a very nasty accident a few years back on a corner, and I've driven them like a granny most of the time ever since. Prefer ultra-fast GTs 90-odd percent of the time.

I'm sure nelly will be up for seeing if he can break 400 on SRR once the old girl's back on the road... right, bud? Would love to see another print out of that myself.

Abso-fin-lutely

Should be next week sometime. The only thing stopping it now is......wait for it......one alloy wheel!

to replace the one that they delivered with a big dent on the rim.....now you can't get them

It really, really did go in the fund. Temporarily. Only the fund was for a 3.2 DB7 at the time, which I was going to throw £10k+ of money BBR's way to upgrade for me. At which point I thought saving for a Vantage was MUCH more sensible, but still REALLY wanted an Aston. Period. And that ad for the only spec of XK I'd ever consider appeared like a shining light on Autotrader that very day. And I had a 12-18 month respite from buying into another money pit.

Only now the TSO-GT2's got me thinking. As has talk of 500BHP s/charged Tams/T350s to run alongside the XK. Or a lone supercharged Sag. And if Noble ever pull their finger out on the M14. Then there's the 550 Maranellos that are starting to look almost "sensible". Or... or... or...

Oh geeze, I'd better wait till I've got rid of the other three cars first. Nothing doing till that Explorer's parked up in The Gambia...

Cor...you think like me!

My Aston fund went into a Sagaris. The only trouble is, a Sagaris is £50k, hmmm *proper* Vantages start at about £60k...thats only £10k more...hmmm....

No! No! No! Bad David! Bad David!

See how you got me thinking now?

We just talking a standard silver 18" spider? Or are you being flashy and getting some new shoes for the car?

If standard ones, I'd have thought most dealers would have them in stock and could send one across. RRP approx £200 a corner last time I checked...

And that £10k can easily be bounced between 0% credit cards for a couple of years, and the lack of depreciation you'll suffer will make up for the hassle of doing that. So, actually, it's more sensible to borrow that £10k.

But, being as that £10k's as good as yours now, you could just invest it into the Sag - have it supercharged; have one of the fastest cars in the country.

But that'd be daft, right? And I couldn't advise such a thing...

So, how about the RHD DB9 that's currently up at £87k on Autotrader. Starting to think yet? How about the Vanquish with an updated gearbox; £74k on Autotrader at the moment. An extra £14k over what you'd kind of already got (including credit cards), and you'd have a VANQUISH. £14k. Personal loans at 5.5% now (MoneyBack Bank)... that's £420 a month for three years... FOR A VANQUISH.

Enjoy.

You'd have thought so, wouldn't you?
Not being flash, just a boggo spider.
TVR Power, Peninsula and another one whos' name escapes me - all looking for one - on back order from TVR apparently......

where have I heard that before

I mean, they're making coffee tables out of 'em FFS!!!!

There's a rear going on EBay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/18-TVR-Rear-Alloy-Wheel_W0QQitemZ4583504733QQcategoryZ108792QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Or a set of 4x fronts on here: www.pistonheads.com/sales/49704.htm

(Could sell the other three off individually and turn a profit )

Me, I'd ring round each of the dealers personally, checking their stock. And the Indys! Team Proactive as they were (Central TVR as they now are - www.centraltvr.co.uk) always seemed handy at getting hold of sets at a decent price, too.

You, sir, are a man of impeccable taste. A V600 does have to be right up there at the top of the list... Styled with a set-square, powered by NASA... thing of dreams.

Only I don't have £120k+ to spare.

Neither do I

If I did and I spent it on that, my fiance would personally take my balls and nail them to the blowers!

Indeed, surely someone must have a more powerful Tuscan RR/S engine out there than me?? or do I hold the crown?
