Seems logical seeing as TVR themselves no longer want to and judging by the number of people trying to get them there is a market for this

Is that speculation, or have TVR actually announced that they are not supplying parts any more?

Most of the parts TVRCraft have produced for the valve train have been re-designed. These could not be used as direct replacements for standard items – or without the cylinder head modifications, so I don’t think this would be much help to someone undertaking a DIY rebuild.

Please also remember that they have invested the last 9 months and a considerable sum working with Al Melling to develop these modifications. They are a business and need to make sure they recoup this investment.

There are now a number of other companies offering various rebuilds and upgrades, and although there is nothing to stop one of the competitors buying a car that has been upgraded, I don’t suppose it makes much sense for TVRCraft to make the technical details of their solution easily available to their competitors.

Having said all that, they are a bunch on friendly and enthusiastic guys who have been just as frustrated by TVR attitude to spare parts as the rest of us and seem willing to help as much as they can. Why not give Dave Davis a call on 01722 411118 and ask directly ?

Well said Ian...

And as you also know it goes a little further than just component replacement. There are also cooling and oil distribution mods in order to improve upon the TVR design. The original AJP6 had two oil feeds either side of the block to the head. The Speed 6 has two feeds on only one side (check out Justin Bakers thread where he has reproduced a cad pic of the head gasket you can clearly see only two oil feeds on one side). The AJP6 block I saw at Middle Wallop indeed had these on both sides. Al Melling also made a point of emphasising this fact.

As you stated TVRCraft spent a long time investigating and engineering their solution whilst consulting with MCD along the way.....It would be interesting to know if any of the competition out there attempted to touch base with MCD and what sort of response they got...!

From my angle I see only TVRCraft promoting that they have a solution....I believe the others offer a repair.....

Anybody out there with info to the contrary that they can share on here?

Thing is I very much doubt Autocraft have moved the centres on the head, they've probably reworked the follower to correct the geometry (I don't know - just speculation). I know they'ye also beefed up the valve stem / guide to further resist the bending created but how have they increased the oil flow?
Do the craft modded engines have any external braided hose type oil lines taken from the lower gallery and then running into the head?

If they've haven't moved centres and their folllower corrects the original poor geometry then I don't see why they shouldn't sell them seperatly, as they should fit. Even without any extra oil and the beefed up valve stems it should considerably extend the valve train life from where itis now.
Which could be a reason why they wouldn't sell them seperatly as they're going to take longer to re-coup the investment.
