Guys,

For those of you who like me have been unfortunate to experience an S6 failure but have opted to have their engines rebuilt elsewhere....Do any of you/can any of you disclose of any detail other than "the valves and the guides and followers have been replaced with new material items"?

Some of what I gleaned from the Middle Wallop talk leads me to asking the following:

What are the others doing about Oil flow, Cooling, Valve seating, Valve seat width and angles, Valve head shape(I refer to flow characteristics especially on the exhaust valves), Finger followers?

Are any offering replacement Rods, Pistons, Crank rework, Main end caps?

I would expect Peninsula at least must have knowledge to make an alternative solution. I can't see them acheiving such a tremendous Le Manns and GT season,(well done guys, finish without knowing the S6 issues and what is required to make this engine long term reliable. Or is it a factory related issue that holds them back?

ANYONE?

I'd have thought the racers would have pretty radically different internal engine components anyway?
Someone once list what the LNT racers had done to them and it certainly was far from stock!

unfortunately team LNT have been through so many engines this year i think they must have lost count by now, i think it was either snetterton or knockhill where they went through about 4 engines each one having follower problems. another went at istanbul this weekend and the other retired with a constantly sticking throttle.
