TVR offered one for sale. Did they build one?
The "Typhon" was supposed to have a supercharged Speed Six IIRC...Edited by PascalBuyens on Wednesday 10th March 11:37

TVR power have a more measured approach, they do the R&D test the product, before telling most people.
Wait... what? Racing Green have not commented on this build *at all* nor made any official announcement on supercharged S6 development. Nor have they made any comments about TVR Power's developments.
Whereas Dom (who *is* TVR Power) has been quite vocal about what his company is developing and also negatively vocal about this build and Racing Green.
So your post scores a 9.2 on my WTF-o-meter.

My comment
“The fact that RG have not posted on here as far as I know, means they are also “waiting to see” what the outcome of this Engine is.”
Refers to RG NOT blowing there own trumpet.
I have nothing against RG, I have been to there place, had a good look around, they made me very welcome, and I was impressed with there collection of cars.
Only 9.2 on your WTF meter, I must try harder

...Looking forward to a dry June tho when I will be back behind the wheel again....... Hull ...
Kilnsea. Good post on the Procharger I was looking for that info to post up before. Puts it all into perspective IMHO. Heat more often is the killer and the S6 is a hell of an application to manage from that respect. It's part of the reason my first SC engine failed. This one is well ECU protected and on the BHP side of sensible so heat should not be as big a problem.
Take care...

im working out the big bang formula and that is 3 cylinders fire at the same time just like the formula one bike engines , loads of torque loads of asperated hp

Next thing you'll be telling me you're developing a boxer engine? Dom

They do have two nice Jags upstairs, don't they, Mark?
Yep, especially the XJ13 replica Love the story of the guy who created it firing tennis balls at the bodywork to give it that "lived in" look! True or not, a good story.Lee, I'll stick with Mark-1-Tank, not 2 jags

Hey Richard, you spotted the post... that is the plan sir, will be in touch nearer the time to firm dates and times, looking like the first week of June. If poss would be nice to catch up with Alan too. I have also sent Shawn Smith an email as I want to see how his monster power Ultima is coming along. Lots of people to see and places to go in the one month. It's looking like it will be the only visit for this year, so hope the British weather is kind.

Chatting to yourself and general reading about has shown how simple in theory yet not so in practise forced induction can be. To increase the boost on a low powered lump of iron turbodiesel can be a few minutes with a hammer, but going from n/a on a medium capacity (can I call the SP6 that!!?) highly tuned engine is another world.
It seems to be frosty every other morning now and seems to have been like that for quite a few months now. Am hoping this will stop by June .
Look forward to a natter (will of course tell Alan too) and explaining the contraption in my garage which has distracted me from what will be the slowest TVR rebuild ever
I love this thread its great and I can’t wait to hear and see the final result it will be a one of a kind car for sure. I don’t get why Dom is criticised so much in it. You say he brags about his normally aspirated engine and uses this thread to publicise his engines/service but come on 90% of his remarks to his current 4.5 are replies to questions been asked in this thread. It makes sense to answer them here as the person who asked the question might not look elsewhere for the answers.
I’ve seen him offer advice/criticism it depends how you look at it. If you don’t want to hear what he has to say then you will read it in a criticising manor.
These two engines are not even comparable you have got one engine that is normally aspirated costing around 10k and then you have got an extreme forced induction prototype/development engine that will cost the price of a second hand T350.
The only place two compare these is out on track and I’m sure it will be done over time. I have problems understanding how 600bhp is going to be used in a supercharged form but that’s me, I will look forward to the results. I know sticky rubber will be used but it’s not like a TVR runs fat wide tyres. I can’t think of many all out performance RWD cars out there that create there power the forced way so I just assume it will be less drivable/balanced than a NA engine on track. I have no problem with the 600BHP it’s the low down torques that I think will make it an animal.
GOOD LUCK with the development Pascal and Racing Green hopefully you will get your super strength Rotrex back soon
