Where is the best place to buy a 0803?
Eprance on Amazon. For your information I purchased an 0801 model from Amazon which cost just under £45 including a 16GB memory card and delivery. The delivery time was very fast. Link is: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00IKEVSOU this dash cam works perfectly well for me and the video quality in the day-time is excellent, though not so good when the light levels are low, or at night time.
If you would prefer to buy from ebay then I have it on good authority that this ebay seller offers excellent service and backup, and are based in Leicestershire so rather easier to deal with than flying over to China.

Note that the 0801 is still available, though the 0803 has been replaced by the 0805.
One further suggestion is to watch the TechMoan video reviews on YouTube which provides excellent information on how to set the dash cams up, I say this because the supplied instruction manuals are in Engrish so not the best!

Thanks for that. Some quick Q's.
Half decent night quality is important so looks like the 0805.
Why would I want GPS?
I assume I would need a class 10 Micro SD?
The 0805 does seem to provide better low light and night-time video footage.Half decent night quality is important so looks like the 0805.

GPS is good if you need actual global positioning and probably displays MPH speed on the video footage, though in the event of an accident the speed can probably be calculated from the footage.
As far as I'm aware, the vast majority of dash cams on the market have an upper limit of 32GB SD cards which is 320 minutes (approx 5 hours) of recording time before the footage is over-written. This is ample in the event of an accident.
You will need to check on the manufacturers recommendations for the class speed, the major advantage for waiting for the 0806 is the ability to record using larger SD memory cards (128GB) which may be more useful to commercial van and lorry drivers.
I think that a larger card will allow users to copy a weeks worth of footage onto a PC, which may be used at a later date should any speed fines or other issues be raised at a later date to confirm the drivers speed and actions.
With all the speed cameras, bus cameras and scams on the road, we need to have a means to clarify what actually occurred and who was to blame, and the dash cam provides the proof required.
The mobius had an update that lets you use exfat formatted cards so you can put any size in provided it's available, I bought a class 10 64gb microsd card from amazon for £15 and it's doing fine.
Has anyone here taken the internals out of a camera and put them into a rear view mirror with a hole drilled? Think I'm gonna try out a stealth install and see how goes.

Looking at their 1* reviews it seems their customer service is non existent if there's a problem, which is enough to put me off.
nonexistent is right. Over the summer I bought an ePrance based on recommendation from here, failed after 6 weeks (continuously reboots itself) and my attempts to get it exchanged came to nothing. I'm now using AutoGuard Dashcam App directly on my Android Phone, automatically uploads to my Google account, includes built in GPS and mapping vastly better.

Ive just bought myself a new car, I'm currently using the Mini 0801 in my BMW but need to removed this and now fit it to the X5.
Couple of questions, how easy is it to remove the mount, its been in the car for about a year now so stuck in pretty well. Will i be able to remove the mount and then just buy a new stick pad and fit into the X5 or will i have to buy a new mount?
Any one done this before, can recommend what type of sticky pad to use. The original one was a grey 3M one.
Also does anyone know if the power sockets in the boot of a 2006 X5 are powered by the ignition or are they permanently powered?

Dental floss is your friend, slide between the adhesive pad on the mount and the windscreen, and slide backwards and forwards like a saw to cut through the adhesive pad, then clean the remaining adhesive stuck to the window with white spirits or similar - am guessing you could pinch some nail polish remover if your wife or girlfriend isn't looking. Watch this video by TechMoan who demonstrates how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1bOM8IJOfICouple of questions, how easy is it to remove the mount, its been in the car for about a year now so stuck in pretty well. Have to say using this method is a lot easier and safer than attempting to wrench the unit away from the screen using a combination of brute force and a screwdriver, which may well break the base unit or crack the windscreen in the process!
With regard to the sticky tape, I replaced the ghastly grey tape with a black double sided foam tape 25mm wide x 4mtr long which stuck like st to a blanket. I purchased a roll from Amazon for the grand sum of £2.43 which included post and packing: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009IQCET2?psc=...
Sorry but I can't help you with regard to the power sockets of your X5.
Hope this helps
