I'm using a Lexar 633x 128GB. Are you on the latest firmware?
Yep latest firmware. OK bit more digging, it seem all Samsung Micro SD cards are not compatible, and not recommended. You need to buy Endurance Micro SD Cards, so I have now purchased a Lexar High-Endurance microSDHC/microSDXC 64 GB UHS-I Cards, but there are also Transcend and SanDisk versions about the same price (all are about 10quid more than the normal 10x speed versions). Will report back on Tuesday when it arrives.

Hello people. I'm looking for a dash cam for around £100. I'd like something that's semi-permanent and can be hardwired as I don't like suction mounts and I only drive one car. I'm not bothered whether it has a screen either as I feel it'd be annoying at night.
So far there are only two on my list; the Thinkware F50 and the DDpai Mini 2. What are the opinions on these two? Are there any others of this style that I should be looking at?
Thanks in advance.

I have the DDPai Mini 2. Very good quality camera, I've only found 2 things I dislike -So far there are only two on my list; the Thinkware F50 and the DDpai Mini 2. What are the opinions on these two? Are there any others of this style that I should be looking at?

1. it seems to interfere with weaker DAB radio stations
2. The silver colour is very obvious when looking at the car from the outside. The Mini 1 was black and was more discreet but that may have caused overheating.

Are you using the Circular Polarising lens filter too? I've put it on, but not sure if it is making things look worse. Will have to test on sunny day. We're using the same cards in two different A119 v2s. All good so far (1 week in! ).
Try rotating 180 degrees as well.

I've just ordered a refurbished Roadhawk HD for £80. Seemed to be a good compromise on cost for a decent piece of kit.So far there are only two on my list; the Thinkware F50 and the DDpai Mini 2. What are the opinions on these two? Are there any others of this style that I should be looking at?

I've got a dashcam question. I've hardwired up my Viofo A119S to my RS Megane 275, but it seems to be dropping out every time the stop start kicks in. Obviously the starter motor draws quite a lot of current and shuts down some "non-essential" components. I've tried various different fuses and most seem to be dropping out. Anybody know of a way to stop this happening? It's a capacitor camera so even short interrupts are enough to shut it down.

Can you put a battery between the wiring and the camera?
This is something Techmoan shows in the link below. Quite an expensive solution, but in the comments section folks talk about other cheaper options.http://www.techmoan.com/blog/2016/5/27/dashcam-bat...

At a guess you will need to tap into another fuse. You'll need to find one that stays powered whilst the stop/start kicks in. What other components remain on when the engine stops?

Anyone got any views on the Innovv K1?
Had my bike written off last month by a woman whose insurance is trying to claim 50/50 after she turned into me.
Quite like the idea of buying this with extra cameras for the car and just swapping the recording unit between the next bike and the car.

I did some searching around and came up with the V-Sys X2 (An updated version of the X1F which is sold under various brands) and took the plunge ordering one from AliExpress. At $175 US for the unit, 2x1080p waterproof cameras, GPS and 'Trigger' handlebar button for locking files, it seemed like a good alternative.
This has 7-pin (Hexagonal arrangement plus one in the centre) connectors, rather then USB and they fit very snugly.
I've received it and all is working fine, just not got round to fitting it to the motorbike yet. Will see if I can update when I get it sorted.

Nextbase 312GW is perfect for me.
Previously, i was using garmin 20 dash cam but it was my bad decision.
Basically, my friend recommended me that dash cam.
But after that bad experience i read unbaised reviews 2 month ago on this site: http://dashcambox.com
They have well researched reviews. Same pros and cons are mentioned that i'm observing by using Nextbase 312GW
