I don't use my nav much, just holidays and stuff, most journeys I'm quite familiar with so maybe 3000 miles p.a.

However yesterday a bit of an odd one. A regular jaunt so no need for nav and I didn't bother setting any destinations. Out of curiosity I decided to set the trip computer so reset the lot. I've deleted the figures now so from memory

51000 miles
9000 miles per hour average
89 top speed (about right)
5:46 Hours (about right)

The trip was just under 300 miles on a mix of motorways and rural roads.

What gives?

Maybe it got a satellite lock at the factory, was switched off, next thing it knows it's in the UK.. Mind you 9000 mph ave is impressive stuff.

I'm sure there is a safety camera partnership which would be happy to issue with a FPN and optional speed awareness course at one of their centres for the 9000mph.
