The tape player on my stereo keeps switching sides, making ipod entertainment tricky. My uncle has given me an old stereo system of his own, so I tried to fit it.

What can I do, short of rewiring the whole thing (I wouldn't know where to start!) or throwing away my new stereo?

Helpful guys, cheers! Looking like that might work, but I'll hold off ordering and see if any more people agree with your solutions
