Pioneer AVH-X7800BT USB Operation

Hi All;

I had one of these units fitted to my Maserati Spyder recently so I could
experience the full AV / Sat Nav experience. But I cannot seem to get the
unit to recognise a USB memory stick through the unit's cable. Tried
all sort's of format(s) for the storage device, sometimes it will inform
of a unrecognised format..... The ICON is always unavailable so thinking
might be a software setting on the unit somewhere...

Anyone using this unit and reading files (MP3) successfully from USB memory stick ?

Found this on their webiste:

WHAT USB MEMORY AND USB HARD DISK FORMATS ARE SUPPORTED?
USB memory devices and USB hard disks in FAT16, FAT32 or HFS+ format are supported.
NTFS is not supported

So I must be hitting another issue....
