I have a pioneer app radio at the moment and i have never really got on with it. The functions via the usb and the mirror link part dont work with my new phone and i never really liked it with my old phone as it was a bit temperamental at best.
I use my phone via bluetooth to play music through it but that sometimes wont control the phone, big delays in changing tracks etc ie 30 secs sometimes, if at all.

Ideally i would like a double din, sat nav, dab, bluetooth for hands free phone if poss, the ability to play music from a usb stick so its not reliant on the phone.
Is there anything which fits the above or any suggestions please?

Thanks in advance

Thanks.
I had found lots on sites like that but not sure what would work as i was hoping.
Some are android auto and some are not. But is that worth having? Can it be used as a substitute for having built in sat nav?

Does android auto work better than the old app radio/mirror link set up?
As my old one didnt really do what it was meant to i didnt want to get another one which would be the same.

I put a Pioneer AVIC-F77DAB in my T5 Campervan. Brilliant bit of kit, added the rear view camera too. The SatNav is pretty good worked fine for us all the way to Switzerland and back. The music player is excellent as can play FLAC files so the best uncompressed quality. The bluetooth is from Parrot so handsfree and connectivity is the best out there. Hand no problems with either my Android S7 or even the wife's Windows Phone. Dab is a bit hit and miss but then I didn't put in a proper aerial.

Thanks for the reply.
That looks like it does everything biggrin

How is android auto? Is it as seemless to use as it appears?

To be honest only used it once, same as AppleCar Play. Can't really see the point as the headunit itself does everything I need and more.

Also the 2 USB ports are useful as 1 I use to power a DashCam and the other my phone.

Are you sure about having sat nav in the unit? To be useful it would need to be at eye-level and be easily and cheaply up-gradable with new maps etc.

My preference for sat nav is tomtom or Waze on my iphone

I dont use the car much, weekends only really, but as i needed a new headunit for music and phone it seemed like the easiest solution if it were possible. I wanted it probably more as a get me out of trouble type thing rather than being used every journey.
I also hate my tom tom flying across the car when i go round corners and it decides to make a bid for freedom!

The sat nav built into my van is 10plus years old and is still fine for most stuff that i need so being up to date is not the end of the world.
I do like waze on my phone too. Android auto might just be the answer..............
