Speaker advice for classic Triumph
Discussion
I'm planning to upgrade the stereo and the speakers in my Herald saloon,it currently has an old aftermarket tape player that barely works and speakers mounted under the dashboard
I have already ordered a Pioneer head unit and now want to get speakers
As I dont want to cut the door boards or the parcel shelf I would like to get a set that can be kept on the parcel shelf (a boxy type speaker)
Any ideas suggestions are welcome as what type of speakers I can go for and the places I can buy them from

This will take you to what you are looking for - http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/car-pod-speakers
Not sure on space you have but if you are handy use the footwell side trim area. I made some lovely panels for a Mk2 jag a few years back with a set of 13cm component speakers. If you take your time in setting the speakers on angled mounts directed at the drivers ears a good sound car be achieved.
Can't you fit speakers into the existing place under the dash? You can get small but powerful speakers these days like these 4" ones

Plastic pod types will look out of place in a classic.
