God I need protection...

I need a compact forward looking unit or unit with a lens on a lead and a lens on a lead for the rearward view, i want to hardwire it and not have anything on a suction cup window mount...

Bear in mind that you largely get what you pay for ... perhaps www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B075T8H9XJ/?coliid=I22188JB61J... ?
I have a Thinkware F800 Pro but parking mode was a major factor in my decision/need (& DAB interference).

Have a look at Techmoan on youtube, he's recently reviewed an Aukey dual camera system - it's £99 on Amazon, looks great and I wouldn't be put off by the price/brand snobbery.

I'm currently running a cheap mini0801 camera stuck with VHB tape up behind the rear view mirror - no problems at all in the last 4 years or so, in fact it caught a hit and run while the car was parked so has easily paid for itself. Cable tucked into headlining so pretty discreet.

The Aukey is bookmarked in case I need to replace mine.

The Aukey doesn't have a parking mode afaik.

Just to clear up any confusion - when I say the car was parked and caught a hit and run, the mini0801 was still plugged in - ie running constantly from a perm live source. It doesn't have a parking mode.

I believe the Aukey has motion detection if you connect it to a perm live rather than switched - how reliable it would be is up for debate.
