Underwhelmed by my Macan's Bose sub in a plastic box im trying to upgrade the system to provide some decent less wooly bass, and at lower listening levels.

Have been shown some X Fire kit (1000.1 mono sub amp and a 12" X Fire sub in a shallow box). Does anyone know this kit and is it a decent brand? Seems a bit skateboardy branded to me - I don't need groovy I need quality wink

Can I ask where you are based and who recommended XFire? It appears to be a cheap, entry level type brand that has been priced higher, but I could be wrong.

The audison range is very good. They have an active range of sub boxes now, ie, an amp built into the box. These are getting great reviews and can be easily removed if needed, but because you fire the sub downwards, you can put your shopping on top.

Search for the APBX10AS or 8AS.

Gold! That looks like a great solution as it would actually fit under the boot floor, being so slim. Runs dual voice coil at under 2 ohm pushing 400RMS and will switch on from an audio feed high level input. Perfect!

Can only find one supplier though - https://www.ars24.com/subwoofer/audison/16082/audi...

Thanks for finding my solution!

They do

Or the 8

Hope this helps. You can buy it directly from FOUR - the UK distribution people.

Cheers - it arrives tomorrow for £400 :-) Have ordered one of these too https://www.audiocontrol.com/car-audio/factory-sys... as skeptical of feeding it with the 150 RMS amp full output - even on the 'high level' inputs!

great choice
will require careful setup
customers tend to over gain on the input side remember distortion is the enemy
