ghost 2 fit

hi members yesterday i went to have a ghost 2 immobilizer fitted to my bmw m3 this was a certified installer @ vw audi specialist they had the car for over 3 hours but for some reason he couldnt complete the installl and had to remove the fit , because a file in the cars module was not playing ball correctly and communicating with the ghost kit and it was getting late and the ghost tech dept was closed anyway wasnt fitted , i have never come across this before and just curious could any member now the answer. the installer has fitted many ghosts to many different vehicles am i just unlucky.

I’ve just picked up a F90 M5 and thought long and hard about fitting a Ghost, but not comfortable at the moment with its integration or possible warranty issues.

Decided on a MetaTrak tracker with deadlock instead.

Surely the ‘VW specialist’ bit rang some bells for you when booking in a BMW?

the reason it was @ the vw /audi specialist is because they are an endorsed installer to fit the roof closing module for the remote nearest to my area and just so happened to be ghost installers , or in my case none ghost installers.

I have installed the GHOST on lots of BMWs and never had an issue, they are a great car to work on, I suspect the engineer was new to this.

@Firestick Currently considering a MetaTrak with deadlock, would you recommend it??

They would still take the car with a Tracker installed, the GHOST is the way, done lots of M5's and had no issues at all.
