After getting totally confused with looking at the sat navs for sale, who can tell me which 1 is best, have up 2 a max of £500 to spend, ideally one that has post code recognition, speed camera location and 1 that you can change route weather you are 1 mile away or 500 on the move, whats the cost per month?? must be mobile and ideally plugs into cigar lighter and can attach to windscreen, europe maps would be a bonus, any other suggestions would be great... help...

See My post, recently bought the Pioneer portable unit "AV1C-S1" which was around £400 and is excellent. UK + European Full Mapping included, plus a built in bluetooth phone kit!

I would say tom tom , they have been in the market for a while , the pioneer is prety new and apparently alpine will be launching the Blackbird over here soon , it really is the final nail in the coffin fot factory systems and the fully fitted aftermarket systems

I have a Nuvi 360. It has UK and European maps to street level, bluetooth, is eminently portable due to it's size. It has MP3 capability, can receive traffic broadcasts (via an optional add on) and has a detour function if the road you are on becomes blocked. It also has a few other features that may or may not be useful to you. Subscription to a monthly updated camera database is £19 per year from pocketgps, os £2 for a 1 month subscription which would be enough to get you a single download. Downside is that if you are planning a circuitous journey it can only accept one waypoint, despite being able to store up to 500.

Costs about £420

Don't discount the Snooper Indago. Had mine for a few weeks now and am very pleased with it.
