Pioneer AV1C-S1 Portable Sat Nav Unit

Hi all,
I admit it, I always thought Sat-Nav was a gimmick and 'not really neccessary' but I have to say I was wrong.
We bought the Pioneer AV1C-S1 unit on a bit of an impulse before going to Europe, as thought it would be useful for getting around cities and finding hotels etc. We did over 2500 miles in France, Germany, Belgium, Denmark and Sweden and it worked fantastically! It even managed to find the campsite our friends run in Sweden which felt like it was in the middle of nowhere!
Best of all it is portable and can be used in either of our cars, and has a handsfree bluetooth phone kit built in which we are using in the Cerbera!
I would highly recommend this unit to anyone wanting a cost effective unit with full European mapping included at no extra charge.
BTW: I was told by the dealer that the only real area this unit may not be as good as a full 'in-dash' system, may be in highly built up areas/City Centres, but we had no such problems anywhere on the trip so are very pleased with it!
