Morning All,

Just got back off holiday to find my ipac had a flat battery. Plugged it into the docking station and it wanted to form a new connection with my PC and wouldn't let me use my original connection with all my tomtom files on it. What am I doing wrong? How can I get tomtom to work again?

Thanks.

Hi a2z,
Mine's currently in the same state for the same reason. Unless I have completely misunderstood myself, then the only way of getting tomtom working is to reinstall from media or restore from a backup. If you are doing a restore make sure that you manually set the local settings such as language and timezone up before you try the restore or it will fail (I assume that bug still exists). You can restore over a new partnership or even a guest connection.
I'll probably get around to trying to sort mine this weekend so if you have probs let me know and it will probably be fresher in my mind (I haven't done it for a year or so).
If anybody has any better ways please post.
Rob.

Ok,
Just restored mine (using active sync), worked no problem as a guest.
Regards,
Rob.

Thank Mr2turbo.

How do you connect as a guest?

As a quick aside, I eventually cracked it. I ran the first installation disc and got the basic tomtom working again but without the POI and cameras etc. Then I just fiddled about in the menu finding the nearest POI (e.g. find nearest red light camera) and slowly they all started to come back. Very strange but I suppose I'll have to do this every time I leave it unused for a few days (or buy a new battery!)
