One disappointing thing I've noticed with the nüvi 660 is the lack of the 'North' arrow. Why? I normally drive 'track up' and found the 'North' arrow on the nüvi 360 very useful for orientating myself.

Shall ring Garmin tomorrow and ask them to include it with the next software release!

Garmin have just announced the nüvi 670 and nüvi 680 - both have US AND European mapping included and the 680 has some msn thing as well (not sure whether it will work in the UK though).

EDIT: Rang Garmin today and they confirmed that the 'North' arrow is indeed missing from the nüvi 660's map display - this is being reported and the chap I spoke to hopes that it will be re-introduced in a future software release.

I got one for Christmas - very impressed so far.

Just wondering what pitfalls I could expect if I used it with the motorbike - any ideas?

Well, no. I'd sooner have the additional 'automotive mount' permanently installed and hard-wired, with the option of using a windscreen mount and fag plug in other cars.

Is the nüvi 660's so-called 'integrated' TMC system really built-in - or do you have to use the fag plug thing in order to get TMC updates?

Looking for a SatNav and this 660 looks good. I too would like to 'install' into the car but have the option of using with plug-in for the wifes car, when neccessary.

I plan to install the unit in a space in the dash just in front of the gear lever (can't bear stuff on windscreen or dash-top) but I doubt an internal antenna would work there, Does it have an option for a remote antenna (plug in or wireless)?

Yes there's an external aerial socket on the side of the flip-up integral aerial.

Also, remember that you'll need to drape the TMC aerial wire along the bottom of the windscreen.
